Robert Rappaport was sworn in on Oct. 24 as the fire marshal for the Carpinteria-Summerland Fire Protection District. Rappaport previously worked for fire departments in Redondo Beach, Riverside and Alhambra. Most recently, he was a division chief with Redondo Beach Fire Department.
